Series of Four
Our concert series in Copenhagen in the beautiful old 1200 seat Radio Hall. Four concerts a year featuring some of the biggest names on the international chamber music scene. We have had artists such as the Ebene and Artemis Quartets, Chris Thile and Augustin Hadelich. Often we perform ourselves. Check out the website for more info and join us for a concert; we brewed a very nice beer that can only be tasted at the concerts.Read more
Our good old homemade festival. The DSQ-Festival has been running since 2007 and it is problay the most ‘indie’ classical music festival on the planet. We curate the unique program for this event, Fredrik and Rune builds a bar and we always forget to hire a stage manager so we are the ones moving chairs and music stands. The setting is an intimate 150 hall, hidden in the heart of Copenhagen and the feel is like entering a living room. We generally only advertize one month in advance, so stay tuned on our webpage and social media outlets.Read more
Wood Works / Last Leaf
Our side project where we dig into the rich Nordic folk music tradition. It all started with a couple of encores that Rune made and since then, the project has grown in size and scope. We believe that we have found a nice little niche somewhere between traditional folk music and the classical music, utilizing our strengths as a string quartet to show some of the treasures of our Nordic music tradition.
If you want to play this music, you can visit www.edition-s.dk where sheet music for all our Wood Works arrangements are available.
Sheet music from Last Leaf will be released later this year!
PRISM inaugurates a series of five albums, in which we will present one of Beethoven’s late string quartets in the context of a related fugue by J.S. Bach as well as a linked masterwork from the modern quartet literature (Shostakovich, Schnittke, Bartok, Mendelssohn and Webern). The title refers to a beam of music being split through Beethoven’s prism.
All five albums will be out on Beethoven’s 250th birthday year in 2020!Read more
