Here are two traditional tunes from Faroe Islands and Norway. The first is an old ballad called Regin Smidur (Regin the Blacksmith). It's a part of the trilogy Sjúrðarkvæðini also known as the Nibelungen Lied. Wagner used the same material for his opera cycle. The three ballads have a total of 642 verses!
The second tune is a waltz written by Norwegian fiddler Germund Haugen around 100 years ago called Tjønneblomen.
Beethoven: Op. 135, 3rd movement
This is from our first Beethoven cycle LIVE in Copenhagen, 2018 and probably one of the most beautiful slow movements ever written.

Beethoven’s string quartet I C-sharp minor, op. 131 from Alice Tully Hall, New York
1st movement from Debussys quartet in G minor live from Rose Studio, NY
Playing the music by Alfred Schnittke in these surroundings was in many ways a peculiar experience. It was as if all the ghosts of the past that he so much cherished in his music, suddenly came alive in the wilderness.
Møn is one of the most beautiful islands in Denmark, and Emile Carlsen fully knows how to capture this in the most incredible way. Thank you also to actor Peter Kirk for underlining the quirkiness and darkness in this music!
